FOCUS: We sit down with Antonela Josipovic, the newest solicitor to join Ticli Blaxland Lawyers, Coffs Harbour’s longest-serving law firm.
Where are you originally from?
I was born in Germany in 1993, where my parents had temporarily relocated after fleeing civil war in Bosnia. Due to Germany’s strict refugee policy, we were forced to emigrate and were fortunate to be accepted by Australia in 1998. I grew up in Western Sydney and moved to Coffs Harbour in 2019.
Why did you choose law?
The legal system underpins all aspects of society. Unfortunately, it’s a system that many individuals find themselves having to navigate alone in times of stress or uncertainty. To me, being a lawyer means I can remove that burden and help people reach the outcomes they deserve with care and compassion.
What sets your law firm apart?
When joining Ticli Blaxland lawyers in 2019, I immediately felt a culture of community and dedication to client-care.
I come from a background of personal injury law, which requires empathy and a fierce dedication to improving injured people’s lives. Although Ticli Blaxland Lawyers’ services extend beyond personal injury law, prioritising client-care is how they operate.
It is rewarding to be part of a team that genuinely cares about their clients and puts their interests first.
Our internal processes are also designed with client experience in mind; to ensure that our clients’ matters are resolved efficiently and are as streamlined as possible.
What areas of law do you specialise in?
I specialise in personal injury law, which includes motor vehicle accidents, workers compensation, medical negligence and public liability claims. It gives me the opportunity to combine my interest in law and my passion for helping people.
I also practise in conveyancing and enjoy making a genuine difference to the way that buyers and sellers experience the conveyancing process. It can be quite daunting, particularly if you’re a first home buyer, so I try to make my clients feel supported throughout the entire process.
Being flexible and accommodating is important in this regard, so I will not hesitate to travel to clients’ homes and businesses to facilitate the process.
If you need legal advice on a personal injury or conveyancing matter, Antonela will be pleased to take your call on (02) 6648 7487.
